Summer in the Kitchen Garden

This summer was marked by a series of intense heatwaves and a worrying lack of rain for several weeks. Apples didn’t do as well as last year, but other fruits and veggies still turned out great. It was a good year for figs, peaches and summer fruits, although many ripened way too early for the season… oh, and giant cabbages, which are coming in now.

We were also wonderfully surprised by how tall the sunflowers grew this summer!
