Praying with the Stations of the Cross

Sr Elizabeth Ruth’s meditations for a new Stations of the Cross booklet for the Sacred Heart Church in Tamworth, Staffs, have just been published. The original artwork depicting each station is by Polish artist Justyna Halik-Hogg.

Praying with the Stations of the Cross started during Medieval times, when early Christian pilgrims would visit and retrace the steps of Jesus’ Passion in Jerusalem. The devotion allows us to accompany Jesus in his suffering as we journey through Lent and approach Holy Week.
